What We Do

WNCSource works to improve people’s lives by creating pathways to self-reliance and healthier living. We empower people and transform lives through four program areas. 

• Children’s Services – Head Start, Early Head Start and NC Pre-K programs that support families and help children prepare for kindergarten. (Henderson, Transylvania, Rutherford, & Polk)
• Transportation Services – Connects our elderly, disabled and rural neighbors to local resources to help support their health, happiness, and independence. (Henderson)
• Housing Services – Administers the HUD Housing Choice Voucher program to provide safe, affordable housing and Family Self-Sufficiency programs. (Henderson & Transylvania)
• Older Adult Services – Supporting our senior’s efforts to remain healthy, connected, and independent as they age with dignity. (Transylvania)
